As a San Antonio wedding photographer, I love photographing couples in locations that highlight both their connection and the beauty of our city. Mission San Jose is one of my favorite spots because the historic stone walls, soft neutral tones, and natural light create such a romantic backdrop.
From the moment we started, Nina and Paul were completely at ease. They laughed easily, held each other close, and made the whole session feel effortless. You could instantly see how much they adore each other.
A Perfect Location for Engagement Photos
Mission San Jose offers many locations for engagement sessions. The textured stone walls, archways, and open light create a timeless setting that photographs beautifully.
Nina’s floral dress paired perfectly with the warm tones of the Mission, while Paul’s relaxed outfit kept everything looking natural. Together, they looked amazing against the historic backdrop.
Why Engagement Sessions Matter
Engagement sessions are one of my favorite parts of the wedding experience at Straughan Photography. They give couples a chance to relax, get comfortable in front of the camera, and enjoy time together before the wedding day.
By the end of Nina and Paul’s session, it felt like we had known each other for years. That comfort makes such a difference when the wedding day arrives.
