Lisa and Nate’s hill country wedding out at the family property, Elder Ranch, was one of my favorites this year. Her grandparent’s home is where the entire event was held and Scarlet Rose Events did a great job bringing it all together.
We started with the Lisa getting ready in her grandmother’s sitting room and once she was ready we did the first look with the ladies. Next, we headed out to the ceremony site to do the first look with Nate. What a beautiful moment! They had a few moments to chat and then we did some portraits. After we finished up some romantic shots, Lisa’s father had his chance to see her for the first time.
We scheduled the family portraits before the ceremony so, after the first looks, we headed out into the field to capture all the important family heirloom images. What a bright and beautiful look for these family photos. Next, it was time to reset for the ceremony.
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony was lovely. Lisa’s brother performed for them. It was intimate and so personal for the two of them. After the ceremony ended, we finished up the remaining family photos, had an amazing sunset for couple portraits, and headed down to the cocktail hour and on into the grand entrance.
THE RECEPTION
This was a rocking reception! After the grand entrance, the couple ate their delicious barbeque dinner. So many people gave some emotional toasts to this couple. As a surprise “toast,” Lisa sang a very sweet song to Nate. There were no dry eyes in the place! The band played for all the special dances and had the guests rocking. The evening ended with the bride changing into a cool bridal flapper gown and a full-on dance party. This was one of my favorite weddings of all time, what a fun party! Congratulations Lisa and Nate!
