I loved working with Jennifer and Heath on their wedding in Castroville with the reception at Sandy Oaks Ranch. It was a joy to photograph this sweet couple.
Castroville is such a wonderful, small, and tight community. I always love getting that way for a family-style wedding. The bride got to get ready at the big suite at the Hill Side Boutique Hotel. We were able to do the first look and portraits on the balcony there. It was so beautiful, overlooking the Texas Hill Country for group portraits.
The ceremony was a traditional catholic service customized and performed by the family pastor. It was a wonderful full mass. After the ceremony, we did all the family photos at the altar and then headed outside to do some photography in front of the church with the bridal party and the bride and groom. We even did a big family photograph with all eight of Heath’s siblings called the “HeHaw” Christmas card picture.
RECEPTION
Next, we headed out to Devine, to Sandy Oaks Ranch to get some portraits and start the reception! The reception was so much fun! After the entrance of the couple, there was a welcome then dinner began. After Jennifer and Heath ate, we headed outside for some epic sunset photos! It was crazy, during that mini-session I sat in a cactus and had to change my whole outfit because I was covered in needles but it was worth it. Thankfully I bring a full change to every event just in case. We headed back inside then the party really got started! It was a wonderful evening and I am so happy to have been a part of it.
