Straughan Photography was delighted to be chosen as the Photographer at the wedding of Calleigh and Michael on Saturday, March 6th, 2010. All of Calleigh’s wedding day dreams came true at the enchanting Castle Avalon, just outside the New Braunfels area. The couple had an intimate yet elegant, outdoor castle-side wedding with a grand reception in the Castle’s upstairs ballroom. Susan Chauret, the coordinator, kept everything running smoothly through the evening.
Holding back a tear, love filled the eyes of the Groom when he first saw his breath-taking bride. The bride chose a warming peacock color for the day. Even with a snowflake theme the day heated up quickly as romance was definitely in the air. During the ceremony, the couple chose to merge sand as a symbol of their unity and also to release doves – which was simply picturesque! As a sign of the couple’s individuality, they chose snow globes, which displayed their engagement photos, as the table centerpieces. The couple exited the evening through a veil of roses and bubbles.
