April and John’s Wedding

Bridal Gown: I Do the Dress I Do

I loved working with April and John for their intimate family wedding at their family home in San Antonio. Their wedding was right before the big snowstorm in San Antonio. Their wedding was supposed to be on that Monday but with the weather getting worse and the original venue canceling April decided to have their wedding at home.

What a great decision, it really worked out to have the wedding as they did, it was so perfect for the shy sweet couple.  April got ready with her daughter in the family guest room! It was great because we were able to get some lovely moments before the ceremony.  The ceremony was so lovely and traditional. It was really sweet that the paster that April has had for years was able to make it before the snow.

After the ceremony, we headed to the backyard to do some couple photos and then pop some champagne.  It was really cold and the snow had even started to fall but April and John were both troopers.

After photographing in the yard, we headed into the dining room to dance and cut the cake. They did the couples dance first, it was so sweet. Then John danced with his mother and finally, April danced with tears in her eyes with John’s dad. Her parents could not make it to the little ceremony with all the ice on the roads and it was such a lovely welcome into the family. Finally, we headed over to Pompeii Italian Restaurant and the family and couple got to eat and do toasts with dinner. It was great!

I cannot thank April and John enough for letting me be there on such a special day. Here’s to you two, congratulations!
