I loved working with Anne and Rey for their wedding at the McNay Art Museum with the reception at the Hotel Valencia. It was a joy to photograph this couple. This sweet and intimate McNay wedding was just perfect for family and friends. The lunch, cake, and toasts were all at the Hotel Valencia and made for a lovely natural light setting.
We started the time at the large suite with lots of light and room. It is a beautiful space with access to balconies that overlook the riverwalk. Mom and the maid of honor were so helpful in getting Anne ready to head downstairs to catch the van on the way to the museum.
Rey’s friend performed the ceremony and it was lovely. The family all gathered around as they said their vows. They said their vows to each other and there was not a dry eye in sight. I loved the intimacy of it all.
We hit all the best spots at the museum after family photos. It was noon and bright but we made the most of a beautiful day. After that, we headed over to the hotel to get lunch and celebrate. We got to do a grand entrance, toasts then cake cutting. The last thing we did was head down to the riverwalk to get some goodbye photos. It was a great day!
