Irma and Ozzy’s Elegant Wedding at The Veranda with Historic Spanish-Style Charm

Bride and groom embrace under stone archway at The Veranda wedding venue - Straughan Photography - San Antonio Wedding Photography

actually got married at the courthouse first, so they came back on their anniversary for a vow renewal with everyone they love watching. The whole thing felt warm and personal from start to finish.

Ceremony

The early morning ceremony was small and full of heart. Irma’s brother officiated, which made everything feel even more special since it was truly a family affair.

Her daughter stood up as maid of honor, and Ozzy’s dad served as best man. You could feel how much love was packed into that little group.

There were plenty of laughs mixed with a few happy tears before the kiss. Moments like these are exactly why we love what we do as San Antonio wedding photographers.

Reception

The brunch reception was a blast. The venue set up an omelet station and all kinds of breakfast favorites, and guests couldn’t get enough.

The DJ introduced Irma and Ozzy and jumped right into the first dance, followed by a father-daughter dance and a mother-son dance. After that, everyone settled in to enjoy their meal, and a photo booth kept the energy high all morning.

Once brunch wound down, a mariachi band played for the couple and then for the whole crowd. Irma and Ozzy snuck away for a quick photo session while the music carried through the air, and the greenery around this Castle Hills venue made for some gorgeous shots. When they came back, Irma’s daughter gave a toast, Irma thanked her mom, and the couple thanked everyone for showing up. The DJ closed things out with a fun dance set before the newlyweds headed off to enjoy the rest of their day.

Congrats again to Irma and Ozzy. We feel lucky to have captured this beautiful chapter of their story in the heart of Texas Hill Country.
