First of all, our customers love us! Most of all, we love what we do. We utilize state of the art equipment and are constantly striving for the best shot. Documenting a wedding does not allow for second chances, and we love putting our skills to the test every chance we get. We shoot Texas weddings – and we are good at it.

Is Straughan Photography full time?

This is all we do and we love it!

How long in advance should we book our event?

We book weddings up to18 months in advance and do so on a first-come, first-serve basis. We recommend that you reserve your date as early as possible to guarantee availability.

How far will you travel to shoot an event?

We shoot all events within a 50 mile radius of San Antonio with no additional fee. We are happy to shoot your event anywhere within driving distance of San Antonio for an additional travel fee. We also welcome destination weddings for our 2 photographer packages and can discuss travel and accommodation during the consultation.

How many photographers will be at my event?

We offer several standard packages with both one and two photographer pricing tiers. We are happy to create a custom package just for your event, and can offer up to two lead photographers plus assistants and apprentices. Feel free to contact us with your needs, and we will create a package to fit your budget and exceed your expectations.

Where do you shoot bridal and engagement portraits?

With our portable studio, we can shoot bridal and engagement portraits practically anywhere. Popular locations in San Antonio include: The McNay Museum, The Missions, The Botanical Gardens, Landa Park, The San Antonio Riverwalk, area country clubs or any place that you want to!

How long will it take to see my images?

We know that you are very excited to see your wedding day images! We are a boutique wedding photography company and every image is managed in house. We strive to upload your images in a 10-14 day period. This can vary in wedding season and the holiday season. Chrystina will keep you informed of when your images are available.

Will I get digital negatives of my wedding?

All of our wedding packages include digital ‘negatives’ in JPEG format. They are ready for you to print, share online, copy, and enjoy as you please. We also include a non-commercial copyright release so you will have no problems getting reproductions of your images at any photo retailer.

Will we be able to view our photos online?

All of your wedding photographs will be available online for you, and your guests, to enjoy. We offer easy print ordering making it simple for your out of town guests to get the copies of the prints they want, in the sizes the want, printed on archive-quality paper with a 200 year life span. Best of all, we will carefully ship prints anywhere in the world.

Will my images be retouched?

We strive to ensure that all the details of the images we take are perfect at the time of capture so we don’t have to retouch. All of the images are basically edited for color correction and crop.¬† After designed and approved, the album images are lightly retouched before printing.
