Elizabeth and Jose were an absolute joy to hang out with for their engagement session in San Antonio. We kicked things off with coffee, then wandered over to The Pearl for an afternoon full of laughing, easy moments, and a couple of very good dogs. Honestly, the whole day just felt relaxed and fun from start to finish.
Engagement Session
We started the afternoon with a coffee break at Commonwealth Coffee. Nothing fancy, just good coffee and good conversation before the cameras even came out. It set such a nice tone for the rest of the day and gave us time to just chat and get comfortable with each other. We got to take some portraits and it was SO MUCH FUN. After we finished up there, We headed to the Pearl. The red brick buildings, the string lights, the paths along the river, all of it makes for such a beautiful setting. It used to be a brewery, and now it’s this lively cultural spot, and that history really comes through in photos.
Here’s the best part. Elizabeth and Jose’s dogs showed up to join us at The Pearl. We spent some time just playing around with them and letting their goofy personalities come through in the photos. Dogs always make a session better, and these two were no exception.
Once the pups wore themselves out and headed home, Elizabeth and Jose changed into a second outfit and we finished up right as golden hour hit. That light around The Pearl is always something special, and it made for a gorgeous way to wrap things up.
Now we’re counting down to their wedding day at San Fernando Cathedral downtown, with the reception happening afterward at the Veranda. If this session is any indication, it’s going to be a beautiful day. Congratulations again to Elizabeth and Jose!
