Claire and Marcus tied the knot at The Gardens of Cranesbury View in New Braunfels, and honestly, it was one of those days that just felt right from start to finish. This spot sits on 32 acres outside San Antonio, with rolling lawns and gardens that make you feel like you stepped into Europe for an afternoon. But the whole vibe stayed warm and down to earth, like a big family gathering rather than a formal affair.
Ceremony
They said their vows under the venue’s gazebo, the one with the scrolled dome and white columns that looks straight out of a postcard. Surrounded by trimmed hedges and blooming gardens, it made for a pretty stunning setting.
What really got me though was who married them. Marcus’s great-uncle officiated the ceremony, and you could feel how much that meant to both families. Moments like that are why I love shooting weddings around San Antonio so much. There’s nothing quite like watching a family member step into that role for two people they love.
After the ceremony wrapped, we grabbed a few quiet minutes by the water feature on the property. The light was soft and golden, and it made for some of my favorite shots of the day.
Reception
Everyone headed inside to the Old English Ballroom for dinner and dancing. With chandeliers hanging overhead and plenty of room to move, it set the tone for a relaxed but lively night.
Claire and Marcus had a huge group of friends there, and you could tell the energy was going to stay high all evening. Spice of Life SA handled the catering, and as always, they brought the good stuff. Fresh food, well presented, and gone fast. The cake and flowers came from HEB, keeping things simple and sweet.
Later in the night, guests wandered out to the patio to soak up the Texas stars while the dance floor kept going strong inside. It was easygoing, joyful, and exactly the kind of celebration these two wanted, surrounded by the people who love them most.
